Welcome to Byreburnfoot Country House

 Built in 1850 this Victorian sandstone house was, originally, the residence of the Head Forester for the local Estates of the Duke of Buccleuch. a charming Victorian House sitting in attractive secluded grounds by the Border Esk. We aim to provide our guests with a truly comfortable quiet and relaxing stay. With open fires, quiet ,well furnished bedrooms, and a private sitting room we try to make every effort to ensure that your visit is memorable.

The house is in a particularly charming location amid quiet woodland walks and sits above the Canonbie beat of the River Esk.  We are also within easy distance of the Solway coast, the Lake District Keilder National Park and many other places of interest details of which we will be delighted to share with you and to make any arrangements you may wish.Our Guest suite is comfortably furnished, has flatscreen TV , tea and coffee making facilities, and a full private bathroom.

We will also provide picnic lunches and evening meals by arrangement and aim to source our produce locally as well as growing our own vegetables and flowers
